Sariputta ([link]) and Moggallana (wikipedia [link] ) were the two closest disciples of the Buddha. The one known for his gentleness and spirituality, the other for his"supernatural gifts (divine eye) and wisdom.

I saw these statues on a visit in a private persons home... They have a central place in the living room, and they drew my attention as soon as I entered, for their remarkable beauty. I was very happy that I received the permission to come back with my camera and photograph them.
