Description
Children from Hosanna - series - Ethiopia 1992
Edited (August 2011) :
My contribution for the #EL-SENSE For Africa book. - These kids, photographed in 1992 - if still alife - may now be the moms and dads struggling to keep their kids and cattle alive, walking the endless miles in search for a place to survive - or waiting in the refugee camps for a handful of food...
___
The photo's in this series are somehow precious to me.
They are the first selection from my Ethiopia pics.
I made them long ago, 1992, when we travelled to Ethiopia for a meeting. It was only a few years after the war, the poverty was appalling... And these kids... they just allowed me photographing them, with a spontaneity that touched my heart.
Even now, so many years later, I still bow for them, in reverence.
