UPDATE (Oct. 26, 2014)

Did *nobody* except :iconmarx77: MARX77 see this journal when I posted it 2 weeks ago?
@KhuramLawrence : Thanks so much for the re-posting, my friend! I really appreciated your support!
But I had hoped for at least a few comments, or some sign or response...
Maybe some of you just went ahead and sent their support straight to Tammara ... That's all good then, that's exactly where it needed to be!
And maybe some indeed did not get to see the journal, so many goes lost in the dA feed - for me as well (an awful lot!) ...

Therefor, I dare to post this request once again... Tammy and her family have received great support from some of their facebook friends, and maybe some of her dA friends were able to reach them via that way too. Thanks to the help they received, they have been able to pay for the cremation of their son Jonathan, who died 2 weeks ago, and to bring his ashes back home from Arizona (where he lived) to Washington (where Tammara and her family lives) . But there is not enough money left to buy a box or urn, and for a simple but meaningful memorial service... So really, there is some more help needed there!

SO... please pop over to Tammara's facebook page and read my post on her page there.
Or go straight to GoFundMe or Tammara's Paypall account: Tammaralynn at gmail.com .
If you can still help (or help once again) - please do so!
And please do like or repost this journal, for a chance of more people to see it...

We can not take away this family's suffering and loss, but we can make them feel that they are not alone!

Thank you so much to whoever is trying to help!

(JOURNAL first posted October 12 : )
Dear friends and watchers,

I know it's quite a time ago that I posted a journal here on deviantArt, and it's probably even a longer time ago that you received some news here on dA from :icontammara: Tammara . But I know many of you remember her very well, and have been of big support to her, here on dA, when she lost her son Jeremiah now almost 6 years ago... There for, I dare to come back now and ask for your help on behalf of my friend.

Yesterday, Tam and her family received again terrible news... Her second son, Jonathan, who lived in Arizona, died on Saturday morning... No one can imagine how hard it must be for Tam and her husband Rick, to loose a second child. Moreover, they have gone through so much suffering and hardship during the past years, and due to serious health problems and economic reasons, they just recently filed for bankruptcy, and have no money to bring Jonathan home, or to pay for the cremation.
Many of you know Tammara. You know how generous and kind she has been always to anyone who cared to share about her work. You know how great an artist she is. I have kept close contact with Tam and her family all through the years, and can testify that Tam and Rick are hard working people, so trustworthy and honest, so brave to try and live through all the hardship that comes their way.
They do need our help now.
Therefore, I want to ask each and everyone who reads this, please do whatever you can to help Tammara and her family.
  • Please head over to her Facebook page: Tammara on Facebook to read for yourself what happened and Tam's request for help in her own words.
  • Then if you can help financially , please either head over to their "GoFundMe:Jonathan's funeral" - account, or send your contribution to Tammara's Paypal: Tammaralynn@gmail.com .
  • Please do share this journal, and ask your friends to help too.
  • And please do whatever you can. Every little bit helps, and if you can do more, do more! ...
THANK YOU!

The world has lost a visionary leader,
a courageous voice for justice, and a clear moral compass.
By showing us that the path to freedom and human dignity
lies in love, wisdom and compassion for one another,
Nelson Mandela stands as an inspiration to us all.

“I am fundamentally an optimist. Whether that comes from nature or nurture, I cannot say.
Part of being optimistic is keeping one’s head pointed toward the sun, one’s feet moving forward.
There were many dark moments when my faith in humanity was sorely tested,
but I would not and could not give myself up to despair. That way lays defeat and death.”

His determination and courage in fighting for justice for his people, his moral authority,

and his valuing of diversity in all aspects of the new South Africa.
From all who ever had contact with him, he commanded enormous respect."
